Banana Dumplings
1 pint thick sour cream
1 teaspoon baking soda
Enough flour to make a soft dough
Roll out about an eighth of an inch thick. Cut in strips 3 inches wide and 5 inches long.
Peel bananas and wrap each one in the dough. Place in a pan, fill with milk, and bake one hour at 350 degrees.
Sauce
1 pint water
1 cup sugar
Juice of one lemon
1 tablespoon flour rubbed smooth in a little cold water
1 teaspoon butter
Nutmeg or cinnamon
Let the mixture boil and thicken with the flour. Serve over dumplings.
